Koleksi

Komunitas Mobil Elektrik Indonesia (KOLEKSI) is an automotive community that serves as a platform for building connections and fostering communication among owners, users, enthusiasts, and those interested in electric vehicles in Indonesia.

KOLEKSI positions itself as a partner to manufacturers and the government in promoting education, literacy, and public awareness about electric vehicles. For its members, KOLEKSI serves as a reliable source of information on the use, maintenance, and care of electric vehicles.

Organization Profile

Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), particularly electric cars, are expected to become one of the main modes of transportation in the future. The emergence of electric vehicles offers an answer to increasingly pressing environmental challenges, including the global energy crisis, air and noise pollution, and the growing threat of global warming. In response to these environmental concerns, various parties have sought to raise public awareness about reducing pollution and protecting the planet, including through the establishment of electric vehicle communities.

It is therefore no surprise that leading automotive manufacturers are competing to develop electric vehicle technologies to meet future consumer demand. In anticipation of the disruption brought about by electric mobility, the Government of Indonesia has introduced various regulations and policies to accelerate the electrification of motor vehicles, supported by a range of incentives.

The introduction of these policies demonstrates the government's strong political commitment to accelerating vehicle electrification. What is now needed is active support from the public and electric vehicle users to help oversee and encourage the implementation of these policies so that they can be carried out effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

To support and help oversee the implementation of these government policies, electric vehicle owners and users agreed to establish a communication forum called Komunitas Mobil Elektrik Indonesia, abbreviated as KOLEKSI.

The agreement to establish KOLEKSI was initiated during a Zoom meeting among electric vehicle owners and users on May 17, 2021. It was subsequently declared during an in-person gathering of electric vehicle owners and users at Pavillion Bliss Alam Sutera on May 23, 2021. The agreement was formalized through the KOLEKSI founding declaration, which was signed by Arwan Hidayat, Abdul Rahman Elly, Agus Purnomo, Aditya Prasetya Mulya, Singgih Sunoto, Ricky Febrian, M. Ihsan Sandy Toisuta, Wicaksono Indarto, Melissa, Lihua Soedarmo, Deky Adrian Raharjo, and Mohamad Yogi Alamsyah.

At the time of its establishment, Arwan Hidayat was appointed Chairman and Abdul Rahman Elly Vice Chairman of the Association for the 2021–2024 term. The founding meeting also established the heads and members of various divisions, as well as regional coordinators.

The club's founding meeting on May 23, 2021, was designated as the official founding date of KOLEKSI. During the meeting, the organization’s name, founding management, vision and mission, and other matters necessary for the development of KOLEKSI were also established.

KOLEKSI was subsequently registered as a legal entity with the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs (Direktorat Jenderal Administrasi Hukum Umum) under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. KOLEKSI has also become part of the IMI (Ikatan Motor Indonesia) family.
